And another for the shop - this is the second ring to go into the shop section of ready to buy engagement rings. Even if they do not sell they are often great starting points for custom rings as was DR1119 this week. I might share the custom ring that I was commissioned to make using a bit of that design once it is finished. Nearly everything I make ends up custom in one way or another.
I love the side view of this design and the overall ring reminds of the time of the more modest engagement ring. Not much of a sales person am I :)

Lower than F colour grade diamonds are far more affordable and some people do not mind the near colourless nature of a diamond like the J colour set in this ring. When setting diamonds that are not colourless often yellow gold settings mask the lower colour grade.
As well as being for sale this ring will be great to show customers the difference between colourless and near colourless diamonds and they can make an informed choice on the merits and value of both.
And another for Tara - I had not seen Tara for 15 years or more. Way back then she left a family heirloom bracelet with me to be used in a remodel and I never heard from her again. In an attempt to make sure she was okay and return the bracelet to her I tried contacting people in the town I knew she once lived in but no luck.
Fast forward to late 2020 and Tara dropped by my workshop. After returning her bracelet to her she mentioned that a much loved ring I made for her years ago had been stolen and she wanted to replace it. Fast forward again to April 2021 and the new ring will soon be going out to her in Mt Isa.
