As we end 2025, thank you :)

Rose and white gold, diamonds and rubies.
As the year draws to a close I thought I would like to share with you some of the pieces I have been making of late. The above ring is the 3rd I have made in the last couple of months for a longtime customer living in Tasmania.
That old world touch in the details.
For those that have read this website for years, they will already know that antique style jewellery is my favourite. For one customer to ask me to make 3 antiques rings in a row was such a great way to end 2025.
The photo on the left above is of the second ring I made for this customer. The photo on the right is the side view of the 1st ring I made for her.
In the middle is the old jewellery we have used to make the three rings. The final piece I will be making for this customer is to turn all the remaining gold into a bangle.
Continuing the remodel theme
This engagement ring was also made in late 2025. I supplied the .70 carat round brilliant cut diamond and the palladium white gold. The 14ct rose gold band was made from an heirloom ring adding even more meaning to the piece. I love the round metal halo in this design.
Another ring with an old world touch
I made the above engagement ring for a Victorian customer back in late 2023. At the time we designed the ring I advised the customers that this design really did not suit a wedding ring sitting next to it.
If they wanted a wedding ring then it would be best worn on its own. They liked the idea of taking their engagement ring off for activities that better suited a simpler ring.
A wedding ring that uses the side design work of the engagement ring.
Fast forward to late 2025 and I was asked to come up with a stand alone wedding ring design that linked the two rings. This low profile wedding ring uses scroll work based on the side design feature of the engagement ring.
We used white gold for the scroll work as a further link to the engagement ring but yellow gold for the band to avoid the need to re rhodium plate white gold as this ring would be given a much harder life.
Thank you to everyone for their continued support!
2025 has seen me meet some lovely new customers. However the overwhelming bulk of pieces I have made this year has been for repeat and long time customers. For that I am more grateful than I can ever express in words.
Male Cotton Pygmy Goose, Herberton area, late November 2025.
This is my last post for 2025 as we head into the holiday season. I intend to spend a fair bit of the break camping in the bush with a gaggle of rare/endangered Cotton Pygmy Geese that I recently discovered. I hope you also get time to do what you love during the Festive Season and see you in 2026.
