Rugby and Swamps
Sunrise at Mandalee Swamp 19/07/2020
My wife has no idea how I do it but Sunday I got up at 4am and headed out to near Mt Garnet. I was hoping to photograph some Brolgas but as often happens something else ended up being the subject….a sunrise over a foggy Tablelands Swamp.
By the time I got to the birds the heat waves across the ground were too strong to take photos with a long lens and the light was too harsh anyway. Try again next weekend maybe :)
JCU Mariners (red) vs Barron Trinity Bulls reserve grade.
The Cairns Rugby Union season kicked off last Friday which was our Show holiday without a show. That meant for a large part of the long weekend when I was not working I was at football games in Cairns and Port Douglas taking photos and videos for my sons team Barron Trinity Bulls. Go the Bulls!
