Some engagement rings are not suitable for wearing a wedding ring next to it. That was the case for this customers ring and she knew that when she designed it with me.
The plan here was always to make a wedding ring that would be worn on its own at times when the engagement ring might be at risk of adverse wear. To link the two together we incorporated the side scrollwork from the engagement ring into the top of the wedding ring design.
