Two very different heirloom engagement rings.

What the two rings I am going to share with you today have in common is that the main gemstones are both treasured family heirlooms. Apart from that they are two totally different styles of ring.
For the first ring a contemporary halo design was chosen. The sapphire was originally in an older style of setting so the new ring would be more modern.
A great deal of thought and design work was put into getting the proportions of the halo and band diamonds to achieve exactly the look the owner wanted
The second ring was created using the main gem from a 1970’s/80’s style ring. Very much the style of jewellery that was in fashion when I was an apprentice. You can see from above that we have gone for a timeless antique look with the new ring. This customer loves rose gold so that was used to replace the old white and yellow gold setting and also to add to the antique feel.
An extra little touch to this ring was the inclusion of a scrollwork liner to the inside of the ring. Two very memorable ring makes because of the stories behind the gems, the designs and the wonderful customers.
