15th October 2022 - Customer location: Palm Cove

I made this wedding ring back in October 2021. With most pieces over a certain budget that I create I use a three step process. Design, draft and then deliver the actual piece.

This customer was still not 100% certain of her finger size and the ring was to be made in 950 Platinum. I definitely did not want to be resizing a Platinum ring.

Article: Why you should avoid resizing a new ring

We agreed that I would make the draft in 18ct Palladium white gold, a precious metal that I can economically recycle in house. This ring was used for the wedding with the plan to melt it down later when the time came for the Platinum ring.

A bit of a change of mind

Bit of change with the final 950 Platinum ring.

A year after the wedding and the customer was happy with the size but wanted to add another row of diamonds to the ring before we made the finished product. So we did :)

From My World this week the wonder that is the rainforest floor. September saw many of the trees dropping their fruit. The insects love the fruit, the spiders love to eat the insects and the fungi claims it all in the end. Have a great weekend.
