Kayakers heading to Double Island, New Years day morning
It has become a tradition for my wife and I to watch the first sunrise of the year together at Palm Cove. Prior to sunrise 3 kayakers head out to Double Island to be there for sunrise.

Sunrise was stunning but this outing is never so much about the photos, more about being together for the start of the first day of a new year.

Once the sun was well and truly above the horizon we headed home for a coffee. I truly hope 2022 is much better than 2020 and 2021 were!
